Libraries in Lambeth
Libraries can be a useful source of information. If you join as a member you can use any Lambeth library and borrow books, talking books, and (for a fee) videos, DVDs, CDs, language courses and games. Use of the internet and word processing is offered for free. Each library also runs a programme of events throughout the year. Ask at your local library for details.
All Lambeth's libraries have access for disabled people. Brixton Central, West Norwood and the mobile libraries have induction loops, and Brixton Central Library has a minicom facility. There are video data caption readers and a range of talking books and large print books. A home visit service is also available - call 020 7926 8335 for details. There are also some materials in languages other than English.
